My name is Nicholas Patrick Hazard Jr., but you can call me Patrick, or Pat for short. I am an illustrator/cartoonist and aspiring animator from New Orleans.

I create playful, concept-driven illustrations that combine cartoon humor with bold graphic design. My work uses simplified figures, expressive line, and vibrant color to explore everyday observations, social themes, and personal moments with wit and immediacy.

Drawing inspiration from editorial cartoons, pop art, and visual storytelling, I aim to communicate ideas quickly and memorably — often through symbolic imagery, typographic elements, and recurring characters. I am interested in the space where humor meets commentary, and where child-like spontaneity can coexist with thoughtful design.

Whether developing single-panel narratives, poster-style graphics, or character-based series, my goal is to create illustrations that feel approachable, emotionally resonant, and visually striking. I want viewers to smile, pause, and recognize something true in the moment being portrayed.

When not busy making art, I can be found reading, playing video games, watching movies, listening to vinyl records, traveling, going for a jog, taking photos and even cooking. These passions serve as major inspirations for me and my vast body of work.
